The unknown rebel

I like very much the photographs. It's a instant on the life that will live forever. We keep our memories in them. Also we recorder important events of the history, full the emotion and drama, just like "The unknown rebel".
The photograph was taken by Jeff Widener, a day after the Tian'anmen's mass killing in June 5th of 1989. The filmography and the picture caused a international huge impact and was prized by the world press photo's association.
The image shows a resolute man who firmly stands up in front a tank's file. Without afraid, he is trying to stop the machine's advance.
Every time I saw this photograph I feel a strong emotion. For me, "The unknown rebel" is a portrait about the fight against the tirany and the opression. The only thing we need to confront the excess of authority is a strong determination, just like this admirable man.
Actually nobody knows who is him and what happened to him. Chinese authority's said he is alive, others have said he still could be a prisioner in jail, but the most accepted theory is he was tortured and he died.

Studying law

1.- Since four years ago I'm studying juridic sciences. When I start thinking in the past and I try to remember the reasons why I'm here, only I could say "I failed maths 1". While I was getting my bachelor's degree I couldn't pass this subjet, so I didn't have the chance the study comercial engineer. I know, this story is so typical. Ironically, when I chose for that poor reason I had the opportunity to fill a dropped dream. When a was a child I wanted to be a lawyer, but horribles stories about the profession made to change my mind.

2.- Actually I'm not afraid the critics about the lawyers. People said lawyers are thieves with a tie. They don't have a good opinion about the labour of judges and prosecutors neither. For them, we are all corrupts and crooks. I respect their point of view, but I disagree.

It's not than easy to get justice. The meaning of the justice is a subjetive concept, especially when there are two parts in conflict, and, one of them lose. Furthmore, it could be more difficult understand the existence of justice if none of them win. Our ideal is that every judgement would be fair, even the defeated part recognize that judge's decision was fine.

For that reason, we don't make justice, we apply rules. We study laws and reglaments with the purpose to know wich is the right behaviour in the society accord our juridical system.

4.- Unfortunately, law is complex and we can't know all the rules. We need specializes in a specific area, like property and criminal law. My favourites subjects in this career are procedure and tax law. There both required to learn very specific rules for every specific fact.

3.- Also, actually there a lot of lawyers and competition between us increased. So, we need adicional educational programmes, like MBAs and languages courses too, specially english. The most prestigious law firms ask for them during the searching for their new workers.

It will be hard, but I chose my path without regrets. I want to be a capable professional to defend the client's interests and to have the satisfaction I am a good and trustworthy professional in my area, an another words, to have the skills to determined the correct aplication of the rules on the particular case and to applied the best strategy in order to win the trial.
